We're all in search of that perfect one-off piece that will single us out from the crowd, which is why so many of us turn to vintage. But sometimes we have to rummage through a lot of rubbish to find the gems. So good news for all you dedicated fashionistas out there: the search just got so much easier. Atelier-Mayer.com - a website dedicated solely to ‘the global phenomenon of 20th century vintage' - launched yesterday to glowing reviews, and we just can't get enough of it...

The brainchild of luxury fashion PR Carmen Haid and fashion journalist Alice Kodell, the site fills the gap that the women feel is missing on the web; that of a ‘personal and bespoke service', and combines an eclectic mix of lovingly sourced and selected pieces with access to an encyclopaedic volume of information about relevant designers and fashion exhibitions. Inspired by Carmen's late grandmother and summers spent at her atelier in Austria as she was growing up, the site is a truly inspirational forum for shoppers, and is well worth a visit to get your hands on anything from an original signed Givenchy 1970s pendant necklace for just £260, to a one-off Ossie Clark halter neck dress at £5,500. So go on ladies, treat yourself...
