A Wrangler obsession

16 January 2009

We have to admit, there's something about Wrangler that is so right for now...Admittedly we had neglected it for a little bit as we became obsessed with all the new denim names. But while shopping in the TopShop denim department this week, we lingered long with the Wrangler. Maybe it's because there is a bit of a wild west influence in fashion for spring, and Wrangler is the only true authentic western jean; it was, after all, originally worn by real cowboys on real ranches in the US. Whatever it is, the cut of its classic five pocket jean is totally appealing; the Native American inspired feather print T-shirt on soft gauzy jersey was begging to come home with us, and we dig its denim and checked shirts. Plus, it's not just us feeling a Wrangler moment...Chloe Sevigny and the delightfully bonkers fashionista and popstrel Roisin Murphy have been wearing it lately too. Hmmm...this one is a grower. We'll get back to you on this once we have tried everything on!
