The ‘It' bag might be over but that doesn't mean we can't get excited about Smythson's latest arm candy, does it? After all, we say in such times of gloom and doom, anything that gives us a little burst of fashion adrenaline when we see it deserves a mention. Introducing the brand new addition to Smythson's family of bags: the Enid. The brand's creative director Samantha Cameron (wife of David) named the elegant structured bag (which comes as a handbag in two sizes and also as a day clutch) after her inspirational great-grandmother the playwright Enid Bagnold (her works included The Loved and the Envied, National Velvet and The Chalk Garden). This isn't the first time Sam Cam has named one of her bags after a relative; the iconic ‘Nancy' is named after her four year old daughter. Also worth checking out is the new Maze satchel style. It has the distinctive graphic stitching of its predecessor but has been updated with a long strap - very now. The Enid will be in store in February and the Maze satchel in April. Time to start a Smythson fund, we reckon!
