Fashion conundrum time...What do Nicholas Ghesquiere of Balenciaga and Sarah Jessica Parker have in common? Well, it's the fact that - no matter what they create or whatever outfit they put together, however crazy it may seem, you have to trust their innate fashion genius and accept it. Just go with the Balenciaga/SJP flow, because 6 months or a year down the line everyone will be scrambling for the very looks they once scoffed at. Current case in point: the cropped bootcut trouser aka the Minibot as seen on SJP this week and also Balenciaga's SS09 catwalk. First reactions have varied from fear of ankle swingers to that I-can't-use-my-washing-machine-properly-shrinkage shame, you may even worry that they are harder to pull off than a pair of dropped crotch harem pants (which they aren't btw). Fair assumptions aside, this new trouser shape, when worn the right way is so fashion forward your head will be in a spin. So, what's the secret? Tackle the trend with oodles of confidence and team with other statement items, so that the Minibot doesn't look like an accident. Most of all, don't forget to add killer heels - SJP's blue satin low cut Louboutins do wonders for leg lengthening. So what do you reckon? Wearable or terrible?!
