New year, new you? Well, as much as we've been pro-actively sourcing out gyms and busying ourselves with a macro biotic diet plan of course, we can't help but wonder what those A-listers are all hoping to change for 2009. So, for a bit of Friday fun, we've created fashion resolutions for our top stylistas.
Victoria Beckham - The Inspector Gadget theme tune won't stop popping into our heads every time we see VB these days. The trilby + trench coat + aviators thang is just bizarre - if this mysterious look is an attempt at anonymity or being inconspicuous, it isn't working. Ditch now, and go go gadget legs to the nearest Marc Jacobs store!
The Olsens - Grunge? Slick? Who knows with the Olsen girls these days. One minute it's all Balenciaga courts and Calvin Klein tailoring and the next it's your Mum's old PJs and a pair of biker boots. We love you, but we're confused. Maybe Mary-Kate can go sleek and Ashley can go grunge for good, so that all possible style jacking options are available for us?
Alice Dellal - Simple. A trip to M&S for a good pair of 60 denier black tights.
Madonna - To start wearing underwear for its true purpose. As underwear.
Emma Watson - With designers clamouring to dress this rising fashionista, all she need really do is turn up. Oh! It's a tough life being a face of Chanel.
Katie Holmes - If Katie Holmes thinks about doing a little clear out at the Holmes-Cruise pad, we suggest chucking her sewing machine out first. There's a reason why some designers make it big and some don't... Oh and stop using Suri Cruise as a handbag, she'll only lose your phone.
Rhianna - We all know Rhianna has the potential to be a major player in the fashion world. After all, she was one of the first girls to don Peter Pilotto. But, please Rhianna, don't be a leather clad clothes horse. Keep. It. Simple.
Mischa Barton - Mish Mash Mischa needs to focus her look. She doesn't need Rachel Zoe, she just needs an organised wardrobe and a bit of night-before outfit planning! Ooo, maybe she could purchase a computer system similar to Cher's in the film Clueless.
Kate Moss - Bring back the trendsetting! We're bored of the skinny jeans and black coat. Kate, pleeeeeeease be the first to rock a megatrend like SS08's stars again.
Lily Allen - We reckon Lily's going to keep on shedding the pounds and it'll soon be the launch of her new album which'll mean countless performances, so what does that hold in store? More see through dresses? More denim hotpants? Nope, we want her to channel next season's most extreme looks - huge shoulders, cyber robots and full on tribal. Give LoveFoxxx from CSS a run for her money when it comes to stage costumes!
Nicole Kidman - Make all tall ladies incredibly happy by teaming up with her stylist and designer BF L'Wren scott for a design collaboration. All women over 5'8'' rejoice!
Shanae Grimes - World domination. We love this 90210 star, just watch her wardrobe blossom!
Jennifer Aniston - If we see one more LBD on this women, we'll scream! Jen! Wear some colour, Goddamnit!
Jennifer Connolly - To become the official A-list face of Balenciaga. She wears it better than anyone else, models included. So, Nicholas Ghesquiere - listen up!
Agyness Deyn - In the words of Audrey Hepburn film Funny Face- ‘Think Pink'! Agy looked so great in pink the other week, it should definitely become her signature colour.
