Hollywood comes out to play for D&G

Dolce and Gabbana sure know how to throw a party. Last night a host of Hollywood starlets joined the design duo to celebrate the opening of the new D&G flagship store in California. Nicole Richie, Rachel Bilson, Lauren Conrad, Rumer Willis, and Paris and Nicky Hilton nibbled on mini pizzas and raspberry sorbet cones as they danced to actor Danny Materson's mix of eighties pop, R&B and indie music. There was much cooing over the D&G collection but the sharp mirrored surfaces and plush velvet interior designed in partnership with Dordoni Architetti competed for the A-listers attention - not to mention the ivy-walled courtyard which marks the divide between the men's and women's store. All attendees wore D&G (what else?) so it was hard to play fashion jury but we especially loved the way actress Ginnifer Goodwin worked monochrome with a multi-strand of pearls and Rachel Bilson dressed up a sequinned D&G jacket with jeans. Style-jacking central...
