We've studied Nicole Kidman's Australia premiere red-carpet dresses before, but as the transatlantic tour arrived in London last night we started speculating on which designer the A-lister would chose to wear. Perhaps not surprisingly she turned to red-carpet faithful L'Wren Scott - in a cream iridescent dress, (paired with Christian Louboutin shoes and diamond earrings) that suited the old school glamour of her pre-war epic movie Australia. Nicole's one of many Hollywood women turning to L'Wren Scott for a failsafe results dress. Angelina wore one just last week. Why? Well the six-foot-four stylist turned designer, who presents her collection in New York at a lunch for an intimate carefully selected crowd, is known for her rake-slim silhouettes with a perfect fit and Victorian-inflected jackets that are classic but make a serious fashion statement. Oh, and it's also worth noting that at well over six foot - even with those mini heels - Nicole shares a certain affiliation to L'Wren Scott, who's often said she designs for herself as much as anyone else. (Take a look below). So we say good choice Nicole. It's just a shame the London weather let you down. The actress spent most of the red carpet runway taking on and off a large overcoat. Shivering, she told us ‘I'm freezing!'.
