There's always a little flurry of excitement when the new Burberry campaign images land on our desks. Last season we lusted after Sam Riley and Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley for a good hour. And now we're wishing we were running through Richmond Park where Mario Testino shot the latest campaign at Petersham Nurseries. It features long-time Burberry model Lily Donaldson and two new models-to-watch Alexina Graham and Eden Clarke. Redhead Alexina, 18, got her break last year when she beat 5,000 other new models to be the UK's entry for the Ford Supermodel of the Year contest. And it's been a similar whirlwind for Eden Clarke, 19, who was spotted at the Isle of Wight music festival just 18 months ago. ‘This campaign reflects the true heritage of Burberry outerwear, the iconic check and our British attitude. I wanted the mood to be gentle, relaxed, romantic,' says the label's creative director Christopher Bailey of the images, which will hit press in February. He adds, ‘Shot in a garden in England on a group of eclectic great Brits, this campaign highlights the spirit of our wonderfully crumpled classics.' Special note also goes to the gorgeous George Craig, a young singer from Yorkshire, who Christopher Bailey plucked from obscurity to star alongside the boys Sam Beeton, Alex Pettyfer and Richard Wyndham. Oh, and Christopher also let him collect his British Fashion Award last month too!
