You might not know the name, but you'd know her face. With her broad gappy toothed smile, long limbed body and sweetly beautiful face Lorraine Pascale was one of the most iconic models of the nineties. It fits, too that she was discovered by the same agent as Kate Moss. So after career highs such as becoming the first British black girl to make the cover of US Elle, countless covers, advertising campaigns and editorial shoots, Lorraine Pascale has done something totally unexpected for a former model - she has become a patisserie chef. ‘I'd always wanted to do something more creative when I was modelling,' she told us when she dropped by Grazia's offices today with a box of cupcakes which were promptly devoured. ‘I wanted my cakes to be lighter and fluffier than anything else out there, and I didn't want them to look twee so mine are raunchy and sexy.' How can a cupcake be sexy I hear you think? They are decorated with red icing stiletto's for a start. But you've got to eat one to experience what she means. Her naughty little cupcakes are sold in Selfridges, and she is, she tells us, ‘working on fondant fancies, to move it on from the cupcake.' Naughty but nice!
