It takes a brave woman to wave to millions while wearing a sleeveless dress (err, wobbly bingo wings anyone?). But despite being a 44-year-old mother of two, Michelle Obama confidently showed off spectacularly toned arms in a succession of sleeveless dresses throughout the election campaign - including the Maria Pinto purple sheath that kick-started the Jackie O comparisons, and the black and white Donna Ricco she turned into a best-seller after wearing it on The View. So how does the next First Lady manage it? ‘I had to prioritize [during the campaign]. This is when I started working out at 4.30 in the morning,' says Michelle. Her friend and workout-buddy, Sandy Matthews, say the pair train for an hour, four times a week, lifting weights and using the treadmill. ‘Being fit has become even more important as I've had children, because I'm thinking about how I'm modelling health to my daughters,' says Michelle. Even so, 4.30am?! Think we'll just stick to cardigans...
