Carla Bruni talks the American election, meeting the Queen and being First Lady

Michelle Obama might be threatening her status as the First Lady of Fashion, but we always love a good (breathlessly spoken) sound bite from the First Lady of France - after all, she's the one who talked about rolling up her husband and smoking him like a drug. So what did Carla Bruni have to say when she made an appearance on David Letterman in New York last night? Well, apparently the Queen "is very kind", she and her husband are very happy at the result from the American election - oh and he doesn't exactly love George Bush. But if Nicolas and George appear to get along she reveals 'it's because they have to' she says with that oh-so-sly smile she's perfected for her catwalk days. Oh, Carla, we love it...
