Cool kid Alexander Wang may only be at the beginning of his career as a designer but he is already major. At a gala dinner in New York last night he was awarded the coveted CFDA/Vogue Fashion fund, which recognises and supports the best young design talent. And he's only 24. No stranger to awards this year Wang was also awarded the Ecco Domani emerging designer of the year and nominated for the Swarovski Women's designer of the year award! So we're guessing his latest accolade - recognition of his that comes with a whopping $200,000 to fund his growing business, plus a year of mentoring has left him pretty chuffed. And with previous winners including Proenza Schouler in 2004 and runners-up including 3.1 Phillip Lim, Rodarte and Thankoom - we would be too . We've booked our ringside seats to watch this whippersnapper designer become the Calvin Klein of the 21st Century. Go Alex!
