Gareth Pugh’s spin on Christmas...

 default

Yes, it's ALREADY that time of year - you know, the season where hundreds of thousands of twinkly lights will be adorning a high street near you. Thankfully, Gareth Pugh has come up with something a little more original than your average fir tree...a 2.8m tall tree made of 60 white neon tubes standing in the middle of Topshop! This neon tree is my interpretation of the traditional Christmas tree shape, putting a super-slick and modern edge to it.,' he told us. And we must agree that it's genius. No dropping pine needles, no untangling fairy lights and no having to ditch your poor tree on a compost heap when the festive season is over. It's just a pity we can't buy it for ourselves. Check out Gareth's tree in Topshop Oxford Circus or get down to the Westfield store where a brand new one is unveiled today. Oh, if only we were still there...
