Britney Spears might not have showed up at the MTV European Music Awards in Liverpool last night but that didn't stop the party raging. Katy Perry hosted the event, wearing ten different outfits on stage including Jean-Charles de Castelbajac dress featuring Obama's face and the slogan ‘I have a dream today.' Britney (who was on stage with Madonna in LA at the time) won two of the biggest awards of the night - Album of the Year for Blackout and Act of 2008 - and other winners included Kanye West, Pink and Sir Paul McCartney. But while the action was going on-stage we were backstage picking up the stuff you didn't see on TV. Here's the scene and heard:
Henry Holland was firmly embracing Liverpool. He hung out with new BFF Alex Curran (wonder what Agy will make of that?) and told us he was very excited about meeting the owner of boutique Cricket, Lorraine. Hmmm... a new collaboration in the pipe line perhaps?
Rumours were flying around that Leona Lewis wants to launch her own range of vegetarian food and clothing. She's met up with Paul McCartney to get some advice.
Katy Perry spilled on her recent collaborations with D&G. ‘D&G haven't adopted me as their muse, I just love wearing their clothes,' she told us. ‘If I had to choose my favourite designer it would be Jeremy Scott.'
Meanwhile Take That are desperate to be adopted by someone - no, anyone in the fashion industry. Jason Orange told us they were waiting for someone to approach them with a fashion line.
And as if that isn't enough to whet your appetite here's the best outfits from last night's event...
