As if Marc Jacobs slogan tees, Michelle Obama's Jackie O wardrobe and Sarah Palin £150,000 style makeover weren't enough, the US election has racked up yet another style credential. Zac Posen is the latest designer to voice his support for Barack Obama, although as usual he lets the clothes do the talking. Zac appears covered in old-school badges spelling OBAMA in a 15-second video clip urging hipsters - sorry, voters - to tick the box next to Obama on Tuesday's ballot sheet. ‘I am doing this because I want to make a difference, and I want to encourage people to get voting, vote for Obama, and have fun and look good doing it,' he says. ‘I think it's such an important day in our country's history. It's about people expressing their individuality.' And what does he have to say about his stars-and-stripes inspired ensemble? ‘I think blue obviously is the colour of choice, and red is a good accent colour,' he tells WWD. Forget policies, it's all about fashion, dahling.
Could the US election get any cooler?
