Mr.Armani reveals his new muse’s on-stage outfits

23 October 2008

Hmmm... looks like there are some advantages to being Beyonce's little sister - such as a personal introduction to Giorgio Armani. Solange Knowles is about to join some major fashion royalty as the Italian designer's new muse. And now, as well as landing the stellar role as the new face of Armani Jeans, Giorgio has revealed that he will also be designing a custom-made wardrobe for her current tour supporting Alicia Keys. Lucky thing! It means Solange is the latest in a recent string of designer/singer collaborations like Roberto Cavalli for the Spice Girls, Jean Paul Gaultier for Kylie, Belstaff for Mary J Blige and Givenchy for Madonna. And it certainly means you get some sexy on-stage outfits. Check out our sneaky peek at sketches of her new stage gear. It's a show stopping sassy little collection - full of bejewelled trousers, flirty ruffled dresses and vertiginous high heels - fitting with the other legends Armani's designed for on stage, Tina Turner and Alicia Keys. And if you fancy checking them out for themselves, the UK show starts 4 November. Can't wait to see them in action...
