Carine Roitfeld does credit crunch fashion

First it was the potential political first ladies. And now fashion's foremost are adopting credit crunch fashion too. So, Carine Roitfeld we love you! For if the French Vogue editor - who famously never wears flat shoes in public and is renowned for her love of Balmain and Balenciaga - is wearing CC fashion then we all can! We spotted the fashionista wearing denim pencil skirts and pointy heels throughout Paris Fashion Week (see pictures below). Enough to convince us think it's worth scrabbling around for at the back of the wardrobe to find our similar gear from the late ‘90s... And then we noticed her outfit (well skirt and shoes but that counts) for the Dolce & Gabbana show during Paris FW was the same as that she wore at the Dior Menswear two months before! Six months ago we might have said ‘Quelle Dommage' at such a fashion faux-pas. Now, we say ‘Merci' to Carine for showing us the correct way to do credit crunch fashion...
