The new fashion dynasty

01 October 2008

Normally, each fashion week all eyes are on the Fashion Editors. But for the past 3 weeks, 3 girls have overtaken them on our fashion radar. Enter Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Bee Shaffer and Margherita Missoni. These girls are fashion dynasty offspring at its finest, and  are making a name for themselves both on and off the red carpet.

At 27 Julia Restoin-Roitfeld is no stranger to the FROW and red carpet events alongside her mother, Editor in Chief of French Vogue, Carine Roitfeld. But  after graduating as a graphic designer,  she has been making her first inroads as an Art Director. Her most recent projects include  a  Rock and Republic campaign and she is currently the face of British accessories chain Accessorize . As for her personal style, for this committed rock chick it's like mother, like daughter...

Fellow party-goer on the international scene and heiress to her grandparents' fashion house, Margherita Missoni  is  25  and has a degree in Philosophy. She attends events as an ambassador for Missoni but has lately turned her attentions to theatre and is studying to become an actress. Her wardrobe is, frankly, to die for, combining this season and vintage Missoni treasures...

Last but not least, at the tender age of 18, you might forgive Bee Shaffer  ( daughter of American Vogue Editor  Anna Wintour) for lagging behind a bit in the style stakes.  But far from taking a back seat, inbetween studying at Colombia University and writing for fashion blogs in the UK and the US,  Bee's been making headway with her own quirky take on classic cool....
