We've just seen the new collection from Ballantyne and it's just beautiful. Cashmere in every shade of muted lilac imaginable contrasted with gorgeous soft blues and orange looked so fresh for spring. The new creative director Dawidh di Firmo told us he'd raided the Ballantyne archives from 1925 to get inspiration for the collection and colour scheme. The creative director might be Italian but he certainly looks to Ballantyne's roots in the UK. His name is spelt the Welsh way because his family has friends living there and he still believes that Scotland is at the forefront of cashmere design and technology. There's another Brit export he loves, too - none other than yours truly, Grazia. ‘Ever since Miuccia Prada, who I worked with, told me Grazia was the only magazine I had to have on my desk, I've been addicted.' Ahh! Well, we're feeling the mutual love. What do you think?
