Who is the Fashion Editor behind Issa's scarf?

A silk scarf is clearly the accessory for LFW. First Topshop left one on our seat at Unique, and now the Issa invitation has arrived on our desks - and along with it comes the most divine black and white illustrated silk scarf. A cute glammed up girl is drawn playing, flirting, yachting, dancing and swimming. We adored it so much we decided to investigate who did the illustrations and why. Turns out American Vogue's Contributing Editor and style.com critic, front row fixture Sarah Mower, has another string to her considerable fashion bow and is the woman responsible.  Who knew she had a secret career as an illustrator? ‘I've been doing an illustrated column for Japanese Vogue for five years and Daniella Helayel [Issa's designer] had picked up on it and tracked me down to ask if I'd do an illustration for her invite,' Sarah told us. ‘When she saw the illustration she decided on the spot to make a scarf of it.'  Does it give us a sneak preview of the Issa collection? ‘Well, it is a playful collection. Daniella has called it 'Cocacabana comes to London' so I just thought about what girls get up to when they're having fun in the summer!' So is Sarah looking forward to the show tonight? ‘I'm actually a little nervous because Daniella is using huge versions of my illustrations on her set.' Looks like Ms Mower has another career on the back-burner!
