Louise Goldin, knitwear designer extraordinaire took one huge step forward in her career last night (sadly the last show at the Topshop space this week, boo! No more greasy spoon!), after showing her amazing futuristic, space age, satellite inspired SS09 collection to a rather excitable audience (the chatterings we heard after the show were all rather positive as well). And you have to admire Goldin, she gave her best collection to date even when she featured every fashionistas's nightmare - cycling shorts! We adored the Swarovski encrusted ice blue jumpsuit, a stiffly structured structured body armour cutout dress layered over tight white sheer undergarments and the almost 80s style sporty lilac jumper and leggings combo. Who knew Star Trek could be so sexy?! This gal can't do no wrong and catching up after the show with Jemma Dyas Browns Focus Buyer, who has stocked Louise for the past three seasons, she couldn't help but enthuse "I thought it was amazing. So modern, with incredible structure and the colour pallette was soft and feminine. In my opinion the strongest looks were the jumpsuit with Swarovski crystals and the amazing print over lay chiffon dress with structured bust." She told us. "It's great to see Louise growing from strength to strength - making her an essential part of LFW now - the packed and buzzy atmosphere just highlighted her huge fan base. I loved it!" We loved it too!
