Just had a funny chat with a male friend of mine who was on his way back to the UK having been in NY for the Calvin Klein party where he had been something of an honoured guest. He's not in the fashion business. He's an architect. Hence he was not prepared for the exigencies of NY grooming. He explained, with some lingering sense of surprise, how he had been offered two suits for the one event. ‘Why two?' he asked. ‘You have a spare one.....in case you sweat,' came the reply. Wow. We all know the extent to which some people are prepared to go to be perfectly turned out...but a body odour backup? Now that's what I call being prepared!
