3.1 Phillip Lim's show was one of the NY moments we were most looking forward to. And he didn't disappoint. In fact, we loved it so much we run backstage afterwards to snap and share our fave moments. Here's five reasons (it took us a long time to edit this down) Lim needs to be on your f-dar...
1 - He's nailed next season's hardware. Or should that be he's got it all zipped up. Forget studs and coins, it's all about the zips.
2 - The easiest (and chicest) wardrobe update: cinching your waist with a bow belt.
3 - Mouth-watering textures. Ruffles, frills and fringing on jackets, dresses and skirts. Delicious.
4 - His geeky glasses (and gypsy eyes) give an otherwise-too-beautiful outfit a playful edge.
5 - Low bun, smow bun. Lim's persuaded us to think big. We've been trying to recreate the ‘Doughnut' bun all morning. It's worth it, believe us.
