It's one thing seeing a look go down the catwalk and thinking ‘I have to own that...' but it's quite another actually finding out where it's going to be stocked. So we've done the hard work for you. We hooked up with Mark Baverstock, womenswear international buyer for Matches, after the Derek Lam show yesterday to see what's on his wish-list. ‘That was my favourite show so far. I loved the sporty edge he gave the day dresses. Crepe dresses worn with drawstring waists and paired with macs and trench coats,' he told us. ‘There was a lovely black asymmetric all in one dress and a couple of beautiful yellow georgette dresses too - one strapless and one with a cowl drape neck. The yellow looked so fresh and invigorating.' (Check out the pictures below). So why does Derek Lam sell so well for Matches? ‘The fabric and fit are amazing. It's got quite a young feel to it but it's still really sophisticated.' Can't wait until next spring? Nah, us neither. Satisfy your shopping/browsing urge here!
