Londoners rock the Serpentine summer party

10 September 2008

New York Fashion Week might be attracting most of the fashion headlines at the moment, but last night London's fashion set (well the ones who aren't spending every last moment locked in their studios) flocked to the Serpentine Gallery for their annual summer party. Co-hosted by Russian heiress and fashion designer Dasha Zhukova - who has just launched a modern art gallery in Moscow - the night had an imperial Russian opulence about it. Sevruga caviar on sourdough thins from Urban Caprice (aka the people behind The Ivy and J Sheeky) circulated on silver trays. The Rhubellini and Rays of God cocktails were made with U'Luvka vodka. And the fashion? Discreet glamour. Dasha, who kept a low profile as host and whose boyfriend Roman was surprisingly absent, wore Russian label Kisa (naturally), Naomi Campbell - fresh from a day's community service after assaulting police - opted for Alexander McQueen and there was a smattering of YSL, Chanel and Alaia amongst the other guests. See and rate all the looks below.
