Colette x Gap pop-up store send fashionistas into a frenzy!

default

There's nothing the fash-pack love more than an exclusive! So it wasn't surprising to see scenes of frenzied shoppers when the Colette x GAP pop-up concept store in New York first opened its doors to the public at the beginning of September.

Over the past year the concept store has been used for various collaborations but legendary Paris boutique Colette is known for its hot new labels and limited-edition pieces, so their pop-up boutique has sent crowds into a whirl.

Images of sample sales sprang to mind as fashion editors were seen grabbing whatever they could lay their hands on. Sell-out items, including the Clements Ribeiro x Karen Nicol sweatshirts and customised Longchamp bags in grey jersey, barely hit the shelves before they were snapped up within hours of opening - now that's dedication! For those of you heading to the Big Apple in the next few weeks, we can confirm the customised GAP trench with grey flannel lining customised by famous artist André (which sold out instantly) will be back in store this week. But for those of us who aren't lucky enough to whizz across the pond to pick up a piece of fashion history log on to the Colette website for lots more of their signature goodies.
