Jean Paul Gaultier knows how to bring the fun to fashion week; remember this is the man who got Madonna to walk along the runway with a dog in a pram. Well it looks like he's been spending his Saturdays watching Strictly Come Dancing, as his show this season was a dance competition.
The dance theme went way beyond fringed dresses and tango skirts as there was a Dancing With The Stars-esque judging panel, including Rossy de Palma, grading the model moves and dishing out comments like 'no' and 'boring.'
Coco Rocha has whipped out her moves on the JPG catwalk before, as in 2007 she did an Irish jig instead of a supermodel strut. This time she quiffed up to play Danny from Grease, jiving in sky-scrapers to 'You’re the One That I Want.' Yup, it was electrifying.
But the most 'oh em gee' moment was when leggy supermodel Karlie Kloss Vogued at the end of the runway. It was the best posing we've seen, well, ever. We reckon she could teach Madonna a thing or two about getting into the groove, but Karlie posted a picture on Instagram of her learning how to Vogue. She wrote: 'Considering I wasn't even born when Madonna first taught the world how to 'Vogue'...I needed a little help learning the moves.'
Dancers are big news this season as Lily Cole did an interpretive dance for Vivienne Westwood, Rick Owens was invaded by a step team and Rita Ora skipped down the catwalk for DKNY. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to do a little research and dig out some of our favourite catwalk boogys. Take a look in the gallery below at the best model moves...
