It’s the first day of Paris Fashion Week and while a small percentage of the Grazia fashion team has already touched down in the City of Light for a little Dries Van Noten action, the rest of us are here daydreaming about the wonder that is, and waiting to pack.
Louis Vuitton's autumn/winter 2013 finale [Jason Lloyd Evans]
As the final blowout of the biannual fashion week marathon, Paris is proud to own the reputation for fun, for fantasy, for having a good ol’ knees up, too. Yes the FROW crew may be tired, but they’ve saved some of the best outfits for last, and some Duracell-bunny energy for the decadent parties and delicious dinners to come.
Part of the magic behind the fashion moments en Paree can be down to the extravagant sets and showspaces that the uber-brands spend big budget money each and every season. Lily Allen coming out of an underground barn? A giant replica steam train? All just an average happening at PFW.
So here are the five things we’re looking forward to the most:
1. The catwalk spectaculars:
Chanel autumn/winter 2013 [Catwalking]
For autumn/winter Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld took the audience around the globe, Marc Jacobs invited onlookers to become voyeurs in his Parisian faux-hotel, with 50 doors opening to reveal 50 models in their finest boudoir garb, while Raf Simon’s Dior models walked on clouds.
2. Alexander Wang's Second Balenciaga Show:

How will the American designer bring his street slant on luxury to the French fashion house with his sophomore collection?
3. Tuilieries Fashion Spotting:
[Jason Lloyd Evans]
This is where some of the most dramatic outftis will arrive. The park gardens are no stranger to ballgowns and the like.
4. Steak Frites:
Paris wouldn’t be Paris without a good bit of grub Francaise. We prefer the steak with the frites when you’ve worked non-stop 14 hour days.
5. The Starry FROW:
Jennifer Lawrence at Dior [Rex]
The aforementioned mega-labels also attract the best crowds. Jennifer Lopez was at Chanel last season, Jennifer Lawrence at Dior and Kirstin Dunst at Saint Laurent. Who will out-FROW that lot this season?
6. Celine's Latest Must-Have:
Celine autumn/winter 2013 [Jason Lloyd Evans]
For autumn it's the oversized coats, thigh high pull-on boots and ultra-versions of woven shopping bags. What will Phoebe Philo create this time?
