Grazia Daily: How do you describe Alice + Olivia to the uninitiated?

Stacey Bendet: Clothing that is fun and inspiring for every part of a woman's life!

Grazia Daily: Do you have a muse and if not, what would your imaginary muse be like?

Stacey Bendet: I like to change outfits multiple times a day. So my muse changes by the minute with my mood. I suppose my imaginary muse is quite colourful and crazy!

Grazia Daily: What can we expect from the new season? Where do you get your inspiration from?

Stacey Bendet: Our Spring collection is very romantic. I wanted to design it in a way that was both dressed up and casual. A modern bohemian.

Grazia Daily: How do you describe your style taste? Is it something that carries though to your interiors, holidays etc?

Stacey Bendet: I love print and colour, and juxtaposition in unexpected ways. Yes, I think I do the same with interiors.

Grazia Daily: Talking of holidays, how have you spent your summer?

Stacey Bendet: Well, I spent most of August in NYC working on our collection. But earlier in the Summer we traveled a lot. I was in Turkey, Malibu, Sun was great.

Grazia Daily: What's your favourite thing about New York City?

Stacey Bendet: It's impossible to name only one thing! I love the energy. The people. The feeling that there is something new to discover around every corner.

Grazia Daily: Where do you live and why?

Stacey Bendet: I live in the West Village. I love downtown Manhattan.

Grazia Daily: Describe a typical Sunday afternoon at your place.

Stacey Bendet: Dance parties. Tea parties. Park trips. All things girly!

Grazia Daily: Where is your favourite place to a) Eat, b) Drink and c) People watch?

Stacey Bendet: Eat: I love Beyond Sushi. It's vegan and organic and they deliver! If I go out to eat, I love Waverly Inn or Nobu. Drink: The Bowery Hotel. People watch: Outside of our office! Never a dull moment over here!

Grazia Daily: What's one thing that a New Yorker knows that could help a tourist in town?

Stacey Bendet: How to use the map's function on your phone when walking around town. NY'ers are not very direction-friendly!

Grazia Daily: What do you love about NYFW - what are you most looking forward to?

Stacey Bendet: The city just fills up with beautiful people and I love pretty people!

Grazia Daily: What are your least favourite things about NYC?

Stacey Bendet: The heat in the Summer and the garbage on the streets.

Grazia Daily: What do you think of British style? Are you an Anglophile?

Stacey Bendet: I love Brits! They are so full of energy and individuality. I am a fan!

Grazia Daily: What's the best thing about being a designer...and the worst?

Stacey Bendet: I love creating and being able to see an idea come to fruition. I love making beautiful things. The worst? Fashion week falling right at the end of the Summer!
