There's only one day left of New York Fashion Week to go (how did that happen?) and although we've had a BLAST, one thing's been noticeably absent: Cara Delevingne. She didn't pop up at the DKNY show even though her pal Rita Ora made a runway cameo and she wasn't anywhere to be seen at the Oscar de la Renta show, which she walked last season. Yes, she had some partying to do in London with Bad Gal RiRi and has been complaining about fashion week to Industrie magazine, but c'mon Cara! NY needs you.
Which is why we're delighted to hear that 'she flies in today!', confirmed to us by Karlie Kloss at the Michael Kors show this morning. The model seemed just excited as Grazia Daily at the prospect of Cara's arrival because, TBH, fashion week just isn't fashion week without Cara, Karlie and Jourdan larking about.
'Those are my girls! We always get into some kind of trouble,' Klossy told us. 'Even if we're just going to dinner or having a movie night in our hotel room, we have so much fun. They're my best friends and I've known them since the beginning of my career so we've experienced it all together. Jourdan and I especially have been through a lot and Cara is just hysterical. She really brings the energy!'
And it's exactly that energy you need when you're a high-profile catwalker with a month of shows ahead of you. Does Karlie get support from elsewhere? 'My older sister Kristine works in fashion so she understands the industry and is always there to help me. I actually have three sisters and I invite them all to fashion week with our mom and dad. I'm so lucky to have their support during the madness.'

Indeed, we saw Karlie and her sister Kristine hitting the Fashion Media Awards together earlier this week. The pair were sat alongside Grazia editor Jane Bruton who scooped International Editor while Karlie picked up a gong for model (HA) Instagrammer - and we must say, she's been all. over. it. this week [click here for proof].
'I love Instagramming, but you do have to be careful at fashion week,' the 21-year-old confesses. 'I have an amazing opportunity to see the collections before they're revealed to the rest of the world, but I have to stop myself from posting sneak previews. It's the same with photographs from magazine shoots when they don't come out until three months later. You want to be so instantaneous in this day and age, but there are some things you have to hold onto. They are worth the wait!'

Karlie plays it safe by sharing the beauty, rather than fashion, looks with her followers and it wasn't any different at the Michael Kors show this morning when she pouted into her phone for many an Instagram video. She was clearly super excited to be at the show, despite long being a Kors girl, and gushed to Grazia Daily about working with the designer.
'Micheal is an American icon. I grew up watching him on Project Runway and seeing the most glamorous women in the world wearing his pieces so this is where the season really starts for me. His show tells the fabulous women of the world what they should be wearing and the fact I get to be a part of it is amazing.' It's little wonder then that Karlie often chooses MK for her red carpet appearances. 'When you put his clothes on, you become a superstar. I feel like I'm on my way to Studio 54!' What more could a girl want?
