Best Dressed At Style Awards 2013: Nicole Richie Kicks Off New York Fashion Week

And we're off! Last night New York Fashion Week officially kicked off with the 10th Annual Style Awards which was hosted by Nicole Richie. The pint-sized fashionista made the most of her time on stage, changing half a dozen times. She went from a black velvet Antonio Berardi crop top and trews covered with crystals, to a metallic Armani Prive jumpsuit to an orange ruched Azzaro with chained spaghetti straps.

Kate Upton has been okayed by Anna Wintour and had an Italian Vogue cover, but her high-fashion rise continues as last night was awarded model of the year by supermodel Christine Brinkley. Kate, who wore a classic Altuzarra LBD, said she has the best job in the world and has worn a bikini in every single continent. Who cares about a good pension or sociable working hours when you're in Miami for work, eh?

Rachel Zoe picked up the award for Best Stylist of the Year, debuting her teeny baby bump in a strapless black embellished gown. Victoria's Secret was given the award for most visible brand, and angels Lily Aldridge and Lindsay Ellingson accepted it with Victoria's Secret EVP of Public Relations Monica Mitro. Lily wore a Louis Vuitton mini black sequin dress which she paired with white bow low heels. We told you block Headmistress heels were hot for Autumn 2013.

So what can we expect from the FROW this year? Forget Trapstar and Air Nikes, NYFW is all about the city slicker, polished look. From the looks of things last night the fash pack is going to stick to the all black everything uniform.
