New Research Says We’re Feeling Happier - Here's 5 Reasons Why We’re All Smiling

It’s official. We’re feeling chirpier, according to a new Office for National Statistics study which has found that 77 per cent of us rate our life satisfaction as medium or high. This is a rise from last year… so do you agree?

5 reasons to feel happy

1/ You and a fellow commuter engage in some jovial ‘no you take the seat. No, really! I’m getting off at the next stop’ banter.  Which is much nicer than the ‘swinging bag in ribs’ move you usually pull off.

2/ It’s only a few days until pay day and your bank balance is IN CREDIT (or rather, you’re not over your overdraft limit). It’s enough to put a spring in your step … and then a £2.60 flat white in your hand.

3/ Mysteriously, you’re not remotely annoyed by other people’s Facebook happiness (smug engagement photos/baby announcements) or cryptic whingeing.

4/ It’s hot (kind of) which means it’s almost time to break out the Whistles Pool Sliders we just know you’re lusting after.

5/ It’s summertime NEXT WEEK. Yep, when the clocks go forward next Sunday, it will be beer garden weather after work. And if that’s not a reason to be happy we don’t know what is.

So are YOU feeling happier? Let us know by voting below...
