Blake Lively Launches Lifestyle Website, Preserve

Watch out Goop, Blake's launching her own lifestyle brand...

Gwyneth Paltrow has a lot to answer for. First came Goop, then Jessica Alba chipped in with her ‘Honest’ company. And now Blake Lively is preparing to unveil her own lifestyle website, ‘Preserve’. But what can we expect from this latest offering?

Artisan products

According to an insider, who spoke to E! News, the site will ‘focus on artisans and products, many hand-made one-of-a-kind items all selected by Blake.’ Sounds fancy. Expect £600 cashmere throws, hand-carved wooden amulets and perfume made from the tears of unicorns. Or something.

Lots of videos

The same insider promises that Preserve is ‘all about story-telling through video.’ Apparently, Blake herself will be starring in these clips.  Story-telling with Blake? We’re guessing we’re not in The Little Mermaid territory, so this probably means lots of tutorials on perfecting our diets/ skin care regimes/ cosmic auras. Or more of this loveliness:

Personal anecdotes

No doubt Blake will be capitalising on her celebrity by giving us some unique insights into her life. But we have a feeling that these may be more along the lines of what she eats during a typical detox, rather than specifics about what husband Ryan Reynolds looks like in his pants. Sigh.

Food porn

No word yet about whether Blake’s site will feature recipes, but if it does we bet we’d put money on the accompanying pictures giving us serious lunch envy.

Some new phrases

Thanks to Gwyneth, we now know all about ‘conscious uncoupling’. So we’re excited about what Blake’s new site will contribute to our vocabulary. Watch this space.
