Top 6 Film Trailers Of The Week From 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' To 'Man of Steel'

17 April 2013 by

From Hollywood beauties Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Watson to a very buff and topless Henry Cavill, it's been a good week for movie trailers. Brand new, hot-off-the-press snippets of some of this years biggest film offerings have just been released for our viewing pleasure. Talk about whetting our appetite! From the glitz and glamour of Gatsby's 1920's party palace to Shakespearean star-crossed lovers, let's take a look at this week's top trailers...

1. Romeo and Juliet - 26 July

Ever since we spoke to the gorgeous Douglas Booth last December, we've been waiting with bated breath for a sneak peek of him as Romeo. We didn't think anyone could ever top Leo's performance, but after seeing this, we reckon he might have some stiff competition for the top spot.

2. Man of Steel - 14 June

There have been a lot of Superman films and a lot of Lois Lane's but Man of Steel resets the clock to the beginning of his story and this time, its Amy Adams who takes on the role of his feisty reporter love interest. Made by the same team behind The Dark Knight trilogy, expect some pretty special effects. And we're not just talking about Henry Cavill with his shirt off. Swoon!

3. The Bling Ring - 5 July

Finally, a proper look at grown-up Emma Watson's pole-dancing and robbery skills in Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring! Based on a true story, a group of celebrity obsessed teens break into the homes of their idols to steal some of their luxury loot. We definitely don't think Hermione would approve.

4. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - 22 November

All hail queen Katniss! Our love affair with Jennifer Lawrence is reignited once again in Catching Fire, the sequel to last year's The Hunger Games. President Snow is none too happy about Katniss's life-saving stunt which saw the Capitol crown two victors for the first time ever. Having become a symbol of hope to the rebelling districts, we see the beginnings of a dark and twisted plot emerging as both she and Peter embark on their victor's tour.

5. The Great Gatsby - 16 May

We've been drooling over all things Gatsby for some time now but this tv trailer also gives us a brilliant preview of the epic soundtrack featuring the likes of Beyonce, Lana Del Rey and Florence & The Machine which we suspect will be ruling our iPod's all summer long...

6. Byzantium - 31 May

If you think you've had your fill of vampire tales then think again. Byzantium is an intriguing and compelling story of a rogue female vampire and her daughter, who is desperate to share her story with the world. It's gritty, a bit gory and Gemma Arterton is insanely good.
