3. CELEBRATE IN A ROYAL NAVY KIND OF WAY

WHAT: Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum! Leeds prohibition bar, The Maven, will be celebrating the Royal Navy’s promotion of rum and gin since the 16th century with a big party, 5pm until late. Expect amazing rum and gin cocktails, good food and fancy dress is a must! Guests who dress up in the Royal Navy theme won’t have to pay the £5 door fee and will be given a cocktail on arrival and get discounted drinks before 11pm.

4. GO TO A MASQUERADE BALL

WHAT: Guests at Parisian style No.41 bar and nightclub’s Marie Antoinette masquerade party will be transported back in time to 18th century France where cakes, sweets, canapes and scones inspired by the former French dauphine will be on offer. 5. JOIN ST IVES’ FANCY DRESS PARADE

WHAT: Head to St Ives’ annual fancy dress parade along the harbour front. Absolutely everyone dresses up – children and adults alike - and it is the third biggest New Year’s Eve parade after London and Edinburgh. While there is a no drinking policy in the streets of St. Ives, there are plenty of cosy pubs to sink a pint of local Rattler Cyder.
