Word on the street is The Libertines are reuniting. The iconic '00s band haven't played together since 2010, but there are comeback clues everywhere right now.
First up, Pete Doherty told an interviewer that he'd said yes to a gig in Hyde Park. 'I don't know if I should tell you this, but the Libertines were offered a concert in Hyde Park this July,' he said. 'They called me just yesterday ... I said yes. '
Then, the band posted an uncaptioned map of Hyde Park on their Facebook page AND bandmate Carl Barât told a music blog that the chances of them getting back together were 'very much a possibility'.
Let's celebrate the potential return of the band who brought us 'Up The Bracket' in the most fashion way poss… by looking back at Kate Moss and Pete Doherty, the ultimate indie couple of the mid-noughties.
The duo started dating in 2005 after meeting at Mossy's 31st birthday party. In 2007, they got engaged, announcing their good news with an impromptu duet at a gig at Hackney Empire.
We had just a couple of years of the Glasto power couple taking every party, festival and country manor by storm. They spent two years as champions of leather jackets and waistcoats, trilby hats and vintage... Then they broke up.
Kate's now happily married to Jamie Hince from The Kills and Pete… well, we're not sure. But lets enjoy a moment of nostalgia and reflect on Mossy and Doherty's relationship...
