Just a few days after Santa Beyonce unzipped her sack of audio/visual joy, we’re slowly unpacking the hidden treats within. With a project this large (17 videos!) we’ve decided to countdown our favourite cameos, lovingly highlighted by Vulture
1) Destiny’s Child
In a climate of political uprising who better to lead the revolution than the band behind Survivor and Independent Women? In Superpower Kelly and Michelle accompany Beyonce as she goes all Viva La Revolution. Is it time for this Michelle GIF again now? I think so…
2) Jourdan Dunn
As well as popping up in the XO vid, the supermodel appears in the Yonce (the name for Beyonce’s rapping alter ego?) video looking pretty amazing. Quoting the track she captioned the above photo: "'Tell me how it's looking babe' ??#YONCÉ". Indeed.
Jigga is of course there for his beachside guest appearance on Drunk In Love doing this best ‘scrunchy face’ but he also sneaks into Partition. Couples who do 'scrunchy face' together, stay together...
4) Blue Ivy
Not only does the little moppet have a whole song dedicated to her (Blue) in which sehs sings (a bit ‘Hold on to me!’ – omg) but she makes an appearance in the video as well. OH HAI!
Maybe because her last appearance in a Beyonce video was as a DJ in Party, Solange appears briefly in the 70s inspired Blow video, looking like she’s about to bust into some disco inspired moves. The younger Knowles tweeted about the album: “I’m sitting here watching THE most artful and perfect project ever…”
6) Harvey Keitel
The legendary star of Taxi Driver and Mean Street pops as up the beauty pageant host in the ‘Pretty Hurts’ video. Video director Melina Matsoukas told Vanity Fair : “He was a big fan of Beyonce’s so he came and he did it.” Who knew?
7) TMZ Guy!
Vulture pointed out that that this random reporter from TMZ pops up in the XO video. 'Adam' posted: "Wake up today to find myself in the @beyonce XO music video!! Amazing!! Thank you @terryrichardsonstudio. Blown away. #beyonce."
