Prime Minister David Cameron has already made a cheeky turn in the Comic Relief charity single by One Direction and now his wife Samantha has done her bit for the cause. The PM's better half ditched her designer frocks this morning to get down to some baking. Wearing a Red Nose Day apron and matching oven gloves - as well as a bright red wig - Sam Cam whipped up a selection of delicious treats to sell in a charity bake sale.

Samantha had a little help from the couple's children as she got to work in the kitchen of their home and later today the lucky staff at Downing Street will have the chance to buy the cakes, including scones and cookies, with all proceeds going to Comic Relief. The Camerons aren't the only high profile names getting involved in this year's campaign. One Direction have put their own spin on Blondie's One Way for the official Red Nose Day single, which they performed at the Brits last month and the fashion pack including Kate Moss, Alexa Chung and David Gandy have all been snapped wearing one of Stella McCartney's exclusive Comic Relief t-shirts.
