In what might possibly be Ryan Gosling’s LAST FILM EVER (dramatic pause required), he’s teamed up with Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn for Only God Forgives, which is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Here’s 5 reasons we can’t wait to catch the film.
1. The ‘Drive’ Factor
From the soundtrack (Italo disco!) to the clothes (THAT Scorpion jacket), Drive did a very good job in the Mise-en-scène department. Director Refn says the flick is a “continuation of (Drive)’s language,” we can't wait.
2. More ‘Moody Dude’ face from The Gosling

It never gets old, right?
3. Kristin Scott Thomas
What a difference a crazy dye job can make. Her character, Jenna, is described as: “a merciless and terrifying Mafia godmother.” Yikes. Not since Anjelica Huston in The Grifters has there been such a bad-ass movie mommy.
4. Great Opening Titles
Drive had an epic opening title sequence soundtracked by the Kavinksy and CSS’s Lovefoxxx song Nightcall. We’re betting OGF gives us something similar.
5. KST... again
We need to grab our jaws from the floor and take another look.
