Did you know P Diddy was in the first three seasons of Downton Abbey? Being total Abbey-addicts we can't say that we're entirely sure we remember him from the first few seasons - but apparently he totally was according to this new video.
Alright alright, so maybe he wasn't and maybe the video is just a very clever spoof, but either way it's totally hilarious. The witty folks over at Funny Or Die have superimposed the rapper into a number of scenes from the past three seasons as Lord Wolcott. The video shows him getting chatted up by Thomas (and liking it - unlike the ungrateful Jimmy), admitting to relationships with (among others) Mrs. Patmore and the Dowager Countess, shooting Thomas's finger off in the trenches, outing Matthew's paralysis as fraudulent (we're so glad someone finally had the balls to do that), playing cricket, sorting out the estate's financial problems with a little help from IBM, and plying Mrs. Crawley and Lady Grantham with his own-brand vodka Ciroc in the hope of getting a lesbian snog out of the two frenemies.
After watching it we're pretty sure Diddy could have fitted into the show right from the beginning. In fact we can't really imagine it without him. With Season 4 currently in the making and due to hit our screen this autumn, if Lady Mary's new beau isn't the founder of Bad Boy Records and hip hop's richest man, we're going to have something to say about it. Good riddance Matthew Crawley and WELCOME Lord Wolcott. Long live Downtown Diddy!
