New Year's Eve Celebrity Twitpics: How 14 Stars Celebrated From Rihanna To Rita Ora

While we were sipping budget Cava and trying to figure out who to snog on the stroke of midnight, some of our favourite stars saw in the New Year in style. Earlier today we reported on Alexa Chung's NYE holiday with bessies Nick Grimshaw and Pixie Geldof and now we've got the lowdown on where Hollywood's finest greeted 2013.

From luxury vacations and extravagant bashes to intimate banquets and snuggling on the sofa with a loved one, it was definitely a night to remember for the likes of Paris Hilton, Jessica Alba and Rachel Zoe who all shared their pictures on Twitter.

Jennifer Lopez was the hostess with the mostess as she got her "Jackie O on" for a New Year's Eve dinner party. Wearing an elegant one-shouldered dress with her hair up in a glamorous bun the singer laid a very elegant table for her guests which left us wondering what kind of tasty grub she might have served up. Meanwhile JLo's ex P Diddy took the opposite approach by throwing a party to end all parties on his yacht Oasis in St Barts to celebrate his son's 20th birthday. The rapper was joined by the mother of his twin daughters, Kim Porter as well as socialite Lady Victoria Hervey and model Lily Cole.

Other A-listers who took some time out included Cara Delevingne, who tweeted a snap of an exotic location where she is enjoying a well-earned break, Eva Longoria and Wilmer Valderrama, who are holiday in the Bahamas, Nicole Kidman, who spent the night in Sydney and Rita Ora, who performed and then partied in Dubai.

Speaking of partying, one woman who definitely let her hair down on NYE was mother-of-two Gwyneth Paltrow. Attending a gig at New York's Barclays Centre co-headlined by her hubby Chris Martin with his band Coldplay and bessie Jay Z, Gwynnie took to the side of the stage where she drank bubbly and flicked her ponytail around to 'Run This Town'. Also present were the Paltrow-Martin kiddies Apple and Moses who boogied while their papa jumped up and down and sang along to Rihanna's chorus.

Looks like we all need to step up our game next year!

Nicole Clark Was Cashmore (Thu Jan 03 12:24:31 GMT 2013): I think I've gotten old before my time... keep wondering where the ear protection is for the children? My kids have ear defenders for loud events, surely Chris and Gwyneth can afford them?
