Feisty foursome Neon Jungle just performed at the Victoria’s Secret show along side some very special guests. We spoke to Asami from the band about her new famous pals and the new single 'Braveheart'.

What Was It Like Backstage?

I had my preconceived notions - I thought that the models would be really stuck up but they were actually really nice. I was like ‘how can you be so beautiful and so nice?’ It was really annoying!

Did you meet Taylor Swift?

Yes! I’ve never met someone who was as big as her and still so lovely. She came up to us and said, ‘I just wanted to say hello’. When you really admire someone you almost don’t want to meet them because you’re worried that they won’t live up to the fantasy. But she was just really really nice. Taylor joked that she was going to do a piano ballad version of ‘Trouble’ because she's got a 'trouble' song too (‘I Knew You Were Trouble’)

Did you meet Cara too?

Yes, she came up to Jess and I and said ‘I’m so glad you’re here!’ I think because there were only a couple of other Brits about. We took some pictures with her too, but sadly we couldn’t go to the afterparty with her because some of us are underage.

Can you tell us about the new single ‘Braveheart’?

‘Trouble’ was more mainstream pop, ‘Braveheart’ has got the same vibe but there’s an edgy dancey vibe to it too. It steps outside the limits. It’s been produced by American producers so it has that US dance sound on it. Hopefully people are going to jump on it.

How’s the album coming along?

We’ve got an album’s worth of material but it’s not quite finished yet. There are a couple more vulnerable songs that we wanted to put on there which showcase our more soulful side too. When it’s done I think people are going to love it, there’ll be something for everyone on there. It’ll be out mid 2014.
