Mel B was on 'The X Factor' in 2012 [Rex]
Hold on to your leopard print catsuits – it’s being reported that the artists formerly known as Scary Spice has signed on as the fourth X Factor judge. Poor Geri Halliwell is screaming into a pillow somewhere isn’t she? (Don’t worry Gezza, your day will come. Maybe. )
A source told Perez Hilton:
‘Mel has been in talks to join the show for months. There have been a few hiccups along the way to do with money and other commitments, but it’s finally a done deal. Mel has signed up and is working out the logistics of where she will live and when she can fly in and out of the country.’
Exciting! In fact, we think this might be a vintage year for Simon Cowell’s toxic brainchild, what with Cheryl being back and Mel having a knack for being extremely mean-spirited:
As a Spice Girl, Melanie sold an impressive 80 million records. But Mel's second album, L.A. State of Mind, sold a slightly less impressive 670 copies in its first week of release. Ten points to the first auditionee who mentions that.
