It's not often Mary-Kate and (or) Ashley Olsen will make an appearance on TV, but when they do it's always a good one. The twins, who have been absent from the TV sphere since all the way back in 2010 (who needs publicity when you're an Olsen, it seems) popped in to The Ellen Degeneres' Show on Friday to promote their new fragrances, Elizabeth and James Nirvana White and Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black.
The duo have been in the limelight and appearing on best dressed lists ever since what feels like the beginning of time (well, since they were six months old, to be exact). But if ever we needed further proof that the Olsen twins are all grown up, they continue on their path to world domination with a new fragrance launch for their contemporary apparel brand, Elizabeth and James.
According to the girls, the addition of fragrance to their accolades had always been a no-brainer: 'We always knew we wanted to have a fragrance for this brand, because it's very lifestyle,' Ashley told WWD. 'We felt that between the brand Elizabeth and James and Sephora that we were really speaking together directly to our customer. We felt that was a really good place to start exploring the world of fragrance and beauty.'
Spraying the fragrance into her mouth, Ellen got the fashionista's to erupt into laughters (probably feels almost as good as getting Anna Wintour herself to crack a smile!), startling Mary-Kate who said, with her hand on her heart: "That scared me! Haven't been on TV in a while guys!"
Ellen then got the 27-year-olds involved in a little game called Mary-Kate or Ashley, which saw the twins asked to lift a paddle with 'Me' or 'Her' engraved on either side, to answer questions like "Who can talk their way out of a parking ticket" and "Who got kissed first". Their tell-tale expressions and angled glances make the watch a pretty hilarious one. Oh how do we love Mary-Kate and Ashley, let us count the ways...
