Okay, so there is some weird news circulating this morning that Lindsay Lohan might be thinking of opening her own rehab. Now we’re not saying that she doesn’t have the experience – Linds has been treated a total of six times at various centres for various problems including cocaine and alcohol abuse – but we’re still not 100% sold on the idea.

According to US website Perez Hilton, sources close to Lindsay have said that she wants to open her own centre - having told friends she knows what works and what doesn’t when it comes to treatment. Lest we forget that it was only two and a half months ago that Lindsay left a Malibu centre after a 90 day court-ordered stay.

Happily, since then, Lindsay has been seen out and about looking healthy and happy and it’s thought that she is very much getting her life back on track. It has, however, been a long road to recovery: here’s a look back at Lindsay’s difficult past…

January 2007:

2007 was the first time that the troubled child star was admitted to rehab. During a 30-day stay at the Wonderland Centre in Los Angeles she continued to work on her film, ‘I Know Who Killed Me.’

May 2007:

Just a few months later Lindsay checks into the Promises Treatment Centre in Malibu. She is also fitted with a scram bracelet after being arrested for drunken misdemeanour – the bracelet is used to monitor her alcohol intake.

August 2007:

After a bad few months in which Lindsay was arrested for cocaine possession, drunk driving and driving with a suspended licence, the actress checks into rehab again – this time in Utah. Lindsay leaves the Cirque Lodge in early October.

August 2010:

After missing her counselling sessions and violating her probation, Lindsay ended up in jail in 2010. After her stay she is sent straight to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center to begin a court-ordered rehab. Lindsay is released after 23 days.

September 2010:

After admitting to failing a drug test, Lindsay checks herself into the Betty Ford Clinic for substance abuse. In October it is ruled that she will have to stay in a drug rehabilitation programme until January 2011.

May 2013:

Lindsay is sent to the Cliffside Malibu Rehab centre in California for a 90 day court-ordered stay. This followed a court case in 2012 where she lied about a car crash.
