Lea Michele Takes To Twitter To Pay Tribute To Cory Monteith: 'He Will Forever Be In My Heart'

After keeping a low-profile in recent weeks, Lea Michele has spoken out about the tragic death of Cory Monteith. Taking to her Twitter page on Monday, the Glee star thanked her fans for their support. She also paid tribute to her boyfriend for the first time, adding that 'Cory will forever be in my heart'.

Lea also shared an image of the couple before Cory passed away. The selfie shows the duo, who were dating for more than a year, wearing matching sunglasses and looking utterly loved-up as they cuddle on a sun-drenched beach.

Cory was found dead in his hotel room while on a visit to his hometown of Vancouver, Canada. It was revealed that a heroin and alcohol overdose was the cause of the 31-year-old's death. Heartbroken Lea has been seeking solace from her Glee co-stars, attending a memorial service last week 'to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory', according to a statement. The star also helped the actor's mother with organising his cremation and funeral.

Kevin McHale and Jayma Mays, who also worked with Cory on Glee, have publicly paid tribute to Cory. Kevin shared a photo on Instagram of a scene from the show, captioned, 'So thankful that I and so many of you got to experience Cory's overwhelming kindness, humor and talent. There will not be a day that goes by that I won't miss him. Thank you all for your incredible support and patience.'

Meanwhile Jayma told E! News, 'There are so many things to remember about Cory. He was such a fun guy to be around and I have nothing but amazing, wonderful memories of working with him. I have those memories to always take forward with me.'
