Er, we're not sure about you, but we were pretty darn pumped when we heard that Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake were going to be headlining this year’s Wireless festival. The Prince of Pop and the Don of Hip Hop all in one weekend here on our humble isle? That's not something that's going to come around very often you guys.
It's not just the headliners that have given us a serious case of festival fever, the rest of the line-up looks pretty fab too, with Rihanna hitmaker Calvin Harris, Cara Delevingne bestie and Hot Right Now singer Rita Ora, Snoop Dogg (or is it Lion?!) and serial Olympic ceremony singer Emeli Sande. Double Grammy award winner Frank Ocean, Trey Songs, and John Legend will also play the festival, which is now in its ninth year. So, as you can see, the line-up so far certainly hasn't disappointed, but there are still even more acts still to be announced. The two-day event will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on the 12th and 13th of July.
We're not the only ones to be excited- Mayor of London, good old Boris Johnson said, "This is a stellar line up of stars that is set to bring the house down this summer at Queen Elizabeth Park London. It proves that our fantastic Olympic park is now a destination of choice for world class musical events." Well, if it's good enough for Boris... Strap on your wellies, we're heading to Stratford.
See you there!
