22 May 2014: David Gandy Makes A J.Lo Cameo
David Gandy's the latest model to bag a role in a music video. Following in the footsteps of Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn, he's going to be dipping his super sexy toe into the world of pop. But the male supermodel's making no ordinary cameo. He's appearing in none other than Jennifer Lopez's new video 'First Love', directed by Anthony Mandler. The full shebang is not going to be released until next week, but we've been given a sneaky snapshot of what to expect. Yep, J.Lo's released a black and white still for the short film showing her locked in a steamy embrace with the hunky David. She's throwing her head back, his hair's sexily slicked. It's pretty hot.
So in celebration, let's look back at 6 more amazing model music video cameos...
1. Naomi Campbell et al in Freedom! by George Michael
Wow, it’s not every day that you can persuade not one, not two, not three, not four but FIVE supermodels to be in your music video... but then it’s not every day that George Michael makes a music video. Naomi and co lip-synced their way through his Freedom! ’90 video and we all tried out the same look in our bedroom mirrors.
2. Iman in Remember The Time by Michael Jackson
Iman, so striking and strong, was the perfect woman to star as Cleopatra in the late Michael Jackson’s video for Remember The Time. We certainly remembered her.
3. Cara Delevingne in Facemelt by Rita Ora
Not only are they BFFs and wifeys, but Cara and Rita also help each other out when it comes to work. Made for Hunger TV (owned by legendary photographer Rankin), Cara does some pretty impressive lip-syncing in the video for Facemelt. Maybe when she releases her own music Rita can return the favour.
4. Kate Moss in I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself by The White Stripes
Making the dreams of thousands of men around the world come true, Kate Moss spent almost the entirety of this White Stripes video dancing around a pole. We have never seen anything hotter.
5. Tyra Banks in Don’t Wanna Lose You by Lionel Ritchie
Lionel Ritchie made Don’t Wanna Lose You in 1996 with Tyra Banks as his love interest. Tyra actually went on to try and make her own music career but unfortunately it wasn’t quite as successful as Lionel’s…
6. Jourdan Dunn, Chanel Iman and Joan Smalls in Yonce by Beyonce
Beyonce recruited a whole gang of models for this short video from her recent album. Jourdan *actually* licks Bey's boob in the clip.
