It’s Blue Ivy’s 1st birthday! How are Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrating?

Beyonce with Blue Ivy

We know it’s not the ‘done thing’ to have favourites – particularly when it comes to babies – but here’s the thing. Blue Ivy is our favourite celebrity baby (Harper Beckham is a toddler now, so she’s in a different category, ok?). And today, she celebrated her first birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLUE IVY!

This week, it was reported that Beyonce and Jay-Z are hiring a $1million a year suite at New York’s Barclay’s Centre to use as a nursery for their daughter while they are there watching Nets games. So we’re pretty sure that when it comes to her 1st birthday, Blue Ivy isn’t just going to have a little party in the village hall.

As with most things in Jay and B’s personal life, details are being kept pretty tight – but we’ve got a few predictions of our own.

The guest list…

Chris and Gwyneth, obvs. Kimye (plus bump).  Solange. The Obamas (maybe).

First person on the dance floor…

Beyonce of course. Quickly followed by Solange. Gwyneth will do an awkward looking shuffle. Chris Martin will stand in the corner, nodding his head.

Most awkward looking guest…

Kim Kardashian.

Best dressed…

Blue. She’s already got a pair of $800 Swarovski booties, some Jeremy Scott for Adidas trainers and a pair of Marc Jacobs flats. Oh, and a Roberto Cavalli baby bottle. Whatever she rocks at her party, everyone else is going to be completely jealous.

Most likely to live-tweet the party…

No-one – unless they want to be thrown out. B might Instagram a picture of Blue’s feet – if we’re lucky.

Most likely to put everyone else’s presents to shame by turning up with the biggest gift…

Kanye. This man does not do subtle. See the new Grazia – out tomorrow – for details of the cash he’s already splashed on his unborn child. What’s Uncle Kanye getting Blue? Our money’s on a gold plated Wendy house.
