Well, well, well, it seems that Pippa Middleton’s quest to become Britain’s no.1 domestic goddess continues. It's just been announced that she’s landed herself a column with Waitrose Kitchen magazine. Oh yes! Pippa said of her new role, ‘I'm delighted to be writing for Waitrose Kitchen, a magazine that's always been a source of inspiration to me, for its extensive spectrum of food and beautiful style. My column, 'Pippa's Friday Night Feasts' will be an exciting opportunity to share my own passion and enthusiasm for food and entertaining and I can't wait to get started.’
Although the column will be called Friday Night Feasts, we’re imagining you can probably eat the food at other points in the week. So, just how did Miss Middleton land this new role? Here’s her three point plan…
1. THAT DRESS
Well, she had to do something that’s going to grab people's attention. When Pippa Middleton bent over in that Alexander McQueen bridesmaid's dress, suddenly the whole world was looking at her. Forget Kate - who was actually getting married - we wanted to know everything about the woman behind the bum and of course, how on earth it got so pert in the first place. Well done, Pips.
2. WORKING FOR HER PARENTS
Well, everyone needs to start somewhere. It was with the Middletons' company PartyPieces that Pippa learnt the ropes. The website sells all manner of things to make parties for all occasions go down with a bang. Her brother James even designs his own cupcake toppers – perhaps he’ll be giving her some tips himself…
3. THAT BOOK
Ahhh, Celebrate. Pippa’s long-awaited book was meant to be a guide to er, celebrating throughout the year. It was met with dubious reviews by the critics for its overly simplistic advice such as, 'When hosting a party, move any clutter from the space where you're entertaining.' Perhaps she was saving all the good stuff for her column…
Next stop, her own cookery show with Kate making a cameo to help with the spuds? We hope so!
UPDATE: Here's a first look at Pippa Middleton on the cover of Waitrose Kitchen magazine. Yes, she's made it as a cover girl! Waitrose Kitchen, £1.20, is available at all Waitrose stores www.waitrose.com. Go, go, gooo!
